All dogs deserve an owner who loves them and makes them feel safe and cared for. Unfortunately, some cruel dog owners let these loyal and loving animals down. They leave them without worrying about what will happen to them afterwards.
In today’s story, we’re going to talk about Gibbs, an adorable 6-week-old puppy who knows exactly what it’s like to be abandoned. The puppy was left overnight in a dark cardboard box in front of the shelter.
He got scared and started screaming for help, hoping that someone would hear him and come to help. Looking for little surprises

In the middle of the night, a worker at a shelter in Orangeburg, South Carolina realized he had forgotten to do something. They returned to the shelter. As they approached the entrance, they were surprised to see a cardboard box on a nearby bench. It is marked as “small”. Just as they were about to open it to see what was inside, they heard cries for help. They quickly opened the box and saw the cutest, most innocent puppy eyes staring back at them. a puppy in a box
The puppy had a sad but hopeful expression on his face. The staff immediately brought him inside. The dog, later named Gibbs, was happy to be found by a kind soul who fed and cared for him.
Shelter staff were upset that the adorable pup was abandoned hours later. They were glad to be back at the shelter that night.

The next day, the shelter wrote about the abandoned puppy on Facebook. As soon as the staff at the Eunoah Rescue Center in Charleston, South Carolina saw the shelter’s mail, they decided to take the adorable pup into their care.
When they first saw him, their hearts melted. They couldn’t believe that someone would abandon a puppy so easily.
They gave him a nice bath, washed his body and cleaned him of fleas and worms. Other than that, this beautiful dog is doing well. His new shelter friends hugged him and gave him lots of love. Gibbs moved into a nursing home where he enjoyed being loved and cared for.
“He loves other dogs, acts like he’s 50 pounds instead of just 4, and chases all his foster brothers and sisters. He is happy, healthy and just waiting to be neutered before he is old enough to be adopted,” said Eunoa Rescue.
I’m glad Good Samaritans saved Gibbs’ life and gave him the care and love he needed. There is no doubt that this beautiful puppy will soon find a wonderful family and the loving home he deserves.
