Sally Field, who was born in Pasadena, California, in 1946, first became well-known through television programs like Gidget and The Flying Nun.

“They let me open up and showed me sides of myself I would not have known otherwise. My entire life has been devoted to work. I have been calling myself an actor for almost 60 years, and there isn’t a day that goes by that I don’t feel a small sense of joy.
In 2016, Field discussed her character, Doris Miller, an elderly eccentric woman, in an interview with NPR.
“I’m an old woman; 70 is old, and that’s okay. I’ve grown stronger as I’ve gotten older; I’ve earned the right to be who I am through my years, which I own and have merited. I also don’t like my neck and a lot of other things, but it’s alright. ”.
Field has previously spoken in an interview about aging naturally. She spoke about overcoming the need to finish tasks during her career in an interview with Good Housekeeping in 2009.
I wish that wasn’t happening to my neck when I watch myself on television. Your eyes are swollen, and your face is collapsing. But then I see some of the women (who have undergone plastic surgery) who I thought were beautiful when they were younger. Oh, no! Don’t do that, I’m thinking now. It seems to be a disservice to who they are right now. ”.
