Cole and Dylan Sprouse are aware that sometimes it takes two. The adorable identical twins, who won our hearts almost 25 years ago with their playful portrayal of the precocious young boy on Big Daddy with Adam Sandler, are no longer young. They are not boys either.

Dylan and Cole, two handsome 30-year-old men who are separated in age by only 15 minutes, are still very close despite not being as close as they were when they first started their careers.

Due to child labor laws that forbid children from working excessively long hours, identical twins are a huge resource in Hollywood, as Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen of the Full House fame serve as testament. For the little Sprouses, having two of them was preferable to having just one. Their breakthrough performance was in the television comedy Grace Under Fire, where they portrayed the lead character Grace Kelly’s son from 1993 to 1998. Brett Butler played the role of Grace Kelly. The twins were extraordinary in their joint portrayal of Patrick Kelly as they developed from infants into walking, talking six-year-olds. If Dylan and Cole Sprouse are the Olsen twins of the future, Tim Grey of Variety writes, “At Grace’s 8-month-old, it’s impossible to tell at this point.”.

They commanded every scene when they played Sandler’s adopted son in the comedy movie Big Daddy (1999), delivering lines at precisely the right moments. Cole said, “Perhaps I’m a little biased because I’ve known him for ages, but I do admire his career,” in a 2022 interview with People about Sandler. He has a really, really wonderful balance between art and commerce, which is, in my opinion, the mark of a real working actor. “He’s walking that line beautifully and raising up all of his friends at the same time, which I think is incredible,” Cole continued. “When Cole played on the popular TV show Friends from 2000 to 2002, the power duo of Cole and Dylan was split. The first role that Cole played without Dylan was Ben, the young son of Ross Gellar, who is portrayed by David Schwimmer. Cole took on the role by himself. Cole says, “I remember that quite well. My favorite Friends episode in which I appeared was called The One with the Holiday Armadillo. The costumes and the realistic effects they had completely captivated me. ”.

Cole stated, “I’m pretty sure I fell in love with Jennifer Aniston, which the entire world had at that point, in a TODAY interview. On the other hand, I do recall feeling quite intimidated in her presence. When she sat next to me on the couch in one episode, I distinctly recall forgetting my lines and experiencing a mild case of stage fright. “In the 2002 movie Master of Disguise, Cole and Dylan reunited and twinned once more as the young Pistachio Disguisey. The boys’ distinct personalities, which would shape how they would approach their careers as individuals, were just beginning to emerge at this point.

They played Zach and Cody in the Emmy-nominated Disney show The Suite Life of Zach and Cody, which ran for three seasons beginning in 2005. After the show ended, they continued to play Zach and Cody in other Disney productions, including Hannah Montana with Miley Cyrus and The Suite Life Movie.

While the teenage heartthrobs’ fame was rising and sending young girls into a frenzy, they remained cool heads and moved on to New York University, where Dylan studied video game design and Zack humanities and archaeology. .

The long-running Disney series made Cole feel like a machine, but now he believes he can enjoy acting, which is a really fundamental aspect of being an actor. “I’m not saying we didn’t have fun at that time, but it was work. It’s a business and a career, and it helped me go to college, which is one of the best gifts I could have received. But now that I’m acting independently, I’m happy. After both of them received their diplomas in 2015, Cole went back to acting on television without his brother. They are no longer playing two roles as men; instead, their unique personalities are leading them on separate journeys.

In Riverdale, a supernatural drama TV series based on the Archie comic book characters, Cole has been playing Jughead Jones since 2017. He met French-Canadian model Ari Fournier more than two years ago, and the two are currently dating. On the other hand, Dylan is engaged to Sports Illustrated model Barbara Palvin and works as a voice actor for video game characters. In Brooklyn, New York, he also helped found the craft brewery All-Wise Meadery.

Dylan told US Weekly in 2020: “It’s more likely that I will write something for us to work on together than that someone will approach us. I think the universe has given us the universal truth that twin movies are never good, so if we can find the right thing, then, yeah. ”.
