The condition of their daughter Ava Sue has been updated on social media by Alfonso Ribeiro and his wife, Angela Ribeiro. According to reports, the young child underwent emergency surgery on May 12 to prevent the possibility of scarring after she fell off of her sit-down scooter just one day before her fourth birthday.
Alfonso thanked the medical staff at Kare MD Skin Health and expressed his pride in his daughter Ava’s bravery while posting pictures of his daughter’s wounds, which included severe burns on her right elbow, shoulder, and area around her right eye. Not the kind of day you want the day before turning four, the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air actor wrote in an Instagram post. Just wanted to express my sincere gratitude to [Kare MD Skin Health] for the emergency service and procedure to help reduce the likelihood of [scarring]. I’m so proud of how brave my infant girl was during the procedure. ”.

Ava’s mother, Angela, went into more detail about the accident’s circumstances and said she had a bad feeling about Ava being in danger that morning (photo by Jim Spellman/WireImage). She described it as “a vision/motherly intuition,” adding, “I announced to the family, kids, sitter and friends helping out getting ready for Ava’s birthday party that ‘we are not doing anything crazy or dangerous today that could potentially end up with an ER visit. When I said these words, I literally caused everyone to look at me. Ava fell off her scooter not long after Angela issued her warning, indicating that her words were not taken seriously enough.

Ava was taken urgently after the accident to Kare MD Skin Health, where Dr. Dot Raffy worked, in an effort to reduce the possibility of future scarring. She was a trooper, but it wasn’t the most enjoyable way to spend your last day as a 3-year-old. “I’m giving this sweet girl more hugs tonight. ”.
On May 12, the staff at Kare MD Skin Health wished Ava a happy birthday on their own Instagram page. “[Alfonso], I appreciate your kind words. Ava, your precious princess, is in good hands with us, and we feel so honored. Wishing you the best of luck for a quick recovery,” they wrote in the caption.
I think it’s safe to say that every time one of our babies is hurt, it’s terrifying. Do you remember a time when your child had an unfortunate accident and how did you feel at the time? I’m glad that Alfonso and Angela’s little one is recovering well.
