Following the passing of Kirstie Alley, Shelley Long, a former Cheers cast member, was seen looking dejected while out and about.
Long, who portrayed Diane Chambers in the well-known comedy, was spotted walking her dog in a Los Angeles park on December 6, a day after the news of Alley’s passing at 71.
The TV legend appeared to be deeply contemplative in photos obtained by Daily Mail while dressed in a warm Sherpa jacket, sweatpants, and sneakers.
Long is said to have lived in a $1.3 million condo in the affluent neighborhood of Pacific Palisades since divorcing her second husband, Bruce Tyson, in 2004.
In an interview with People, Alley revealed why she decided to dress like Rebecca Howe, who famously made her debut on the program in 1987, in order to “break the ice.”.
She delighted her new co-stars by giving off a “goody-two-shoes” vibe while donning a blonde wig.
From 1987 to 1993, Alley played the lovable character with success, earning an Emmy and a Golden Globe.
RadarOnline.com reported on Alley’s passing after her two daughters, True and Lillie Parker, informed them of the tragic news on December 5.
In the opening line of the statement, it was stated, “We are sad to inform you that our incredible, fierce, and loving mother has passed away after a battle with cancer, which was only recently discovered.” It went on to say that Alley was “surrounded by her closest family and fought with great strength, leaving us with a certainty of her never-ending joy of living and whatever adventures lie ahead.”. ”.
As well-known as she was on screen, they added, “she was an even more amazing mother and grandmother.”. “Our mother’s zest and passion for life, her children, grandchildren, and numerous animals, in addition to her eternal joy of creation, were unparalleled and left us inspired to live life to the fullest like she did. ”.
Since then, RadarOnline.com has learned that Alley will be cremated and honored at a memorial service hosted by the Church of Scientology at the Flag Land Base in Clearwater, Florida.
