King Charles has a large number of grandchildren with whom he can share his affection. Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis all live nearby, while their relatives, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, live far away. Because Harry and Meghan’s children live in California, Charles hasn’t had a lot of time to spend with them.
Charles was crowned on May 6, the same day his grandson Archie celebrated his fourth birthday. According to reports, the new monarch made a toast to honour the boy because neither Archie nor Lilibet were present. Lilibet will be two years old soon, and unless something drastic changes, Charles will be unable to enjoy her granddaughter’s birthday in person as well.
Of course, the monarch will not overlook Lilibet’s birthday. According to sources, he intends to bring her the nicest present…
Lilibet is said to have celebrated her first birthday in the UK with a large cake. They had collected a small group of visitors for an intimate backyard picnic at their Frogmore Cottage home, and the occasion provided Archie and Lilibet with a rare opportunity to bond with family members they don’t often see.
Lilibet’s second birthday will be celebrated on June 4 at her family’s house in Montecito, California. No plans for the big day have been divulged, but Harry and Meghan have a history of making the most of special occasions.
Lillibet will most certainly have a full day of surprises, including extravagant gifts and lots of affection, when she turns two.
According to reports, Princess Beatrice is the only royal who has visited Harry and Meghan in the United States. King Charles will be unable to attend Lilibet’s birthday celebration, while sources indicate that he want to make the occasion as memorable as possible for his granddaughter.
According to New Idea, as published by Express, Charles intends to give Lilibet a special gift on her second birthday. The monarch wishes to bestow a present on the little girl that she “will use and be hers.”
“Charles has had his aides looking at a custom-made cubby house, similar to what the Queen and Princess Margaret had when they were girls,” a source said.
“He wants to give Lili something she can use and own.”
While Harry and Meghan have the means to indulge their children, the Duke is said to have advised his father “to be less extravagant.”
