Walter Carr, a young man from Birmingham, Alabama, recently made news for the right reasons.
Bellhop’s Moving, a moving company with offices in Pelham, recently hired Walter. On his first trip to his new job, the young man, however, had a terrible time. He had to travel 20 miles on foot to Bellhops because his car had broken down the previous evening.
He determined that he would walk the entire 20 miles in order to get to Bellhops in time for his first day of work. Walter was beginning to feel extremely exhausted. He chose to unwind, so he sat down.
When the neighborhood police showed up, they questioned the child about why he was sitting by the road. When he told the police about the incident, they were shocked and quite impressed by his determination to get to work on time.
Luke Markland, the CEO of Bellhop’s Moving, was waiting to welcome Walter when he got there. Luke thought Walter would take better care of his car than he would, so he gave him his car as a gift.
Walter’s dedication to starting his new work on time pleasantly surprised Luke. The fact that Walter didn’t give up on them, didn’t back down, and showed them what true values were made him happy as well.
Walter takes pleasure in what he does, and over time, he developed some notoriety. Even Bellhop’s clients who were helped by Walter to transfer to a new site were pleased with his help.
