Simon Cowell is well-known throughout the world. He’s solidified as one of the most influential people in the entertainment industry as a music entrepreneur, corporate giant, and famous judge on various talent competitions.
Cowell rose to prominence as a record producer in the 1980s and 1990s before becoming a judge on Pop Idol in 2001.
Following the X-Factor and Britain’s Got Talent, his name and brand crossed the Atlantic to the United States, where he continued to grow his popularity.
Regarding his health, the now-63-year-old has recently had a difficult time. He stayed under the radar for a while after brutally injuring his back a few years ago before returning to the forefront with a new look.
However, if his hurtful comments to unfortunate contestants were formerly the main topic of debate, today it’s how his appearance has drastically transformed… Not necessarily for the better.
Cowell recently appeared in a video (above) asking people to audition for the next season of Britain’s Got Talent.
However, rather than reacting in a frenzy of social media delight, fans were more interested in discussing Cowell’s new look.
Yes, you read that correctly. In the video, the legendary Hollywood legend appears to be a completely different person, with several Twitter users expressing genuine concern over Cowell’s usage of plastic surgery.
“You have to question the ethics of some aesthetic practitioners if they are willing to do that to someone,” wrote another. He resembles a waxwork from Madame Tussauds.”
“This is not Simon,” stated a third. “The real Simon is no longer among us.”
Cowell has been upfront about the plastic procedures he’s had in the past. “There was a time,” he admits to The Sun. I saw a picture of myself from ‘before’ the other day and didn’t identify it immediately.
“Eric [Simon’s kid] was in fits of laughter. Enough already. There is no filler in my face anymore. Zero.”
Of course, this is not the first time Simon’s appearance or health has been scrutinized in the media.
The music mogul engaged in a catastrophic motorcycle accident two years ago.
Cowell was transported to the hospital after falling from his bike in the courtyard of his home in Malibu, California. He needed surgery to fix a damaged back.
Cowell said he was “fine” after the six-hour surgery, which involved the insertion of a metal rod.
“The moment I landed, I knew I’d fractured my back,” he explained. “It was incredible, really abrupt, and it stung.”
“Things could have gone a lot worse. I almost shattered my spine to pieces when I saw the X-ray, so I wouldn’t have been able to walk.”
“I believe he got some botched Botox. “Botox injected too far out on the side of the forehead can cause the forehead and brows to droop,” he explained.
Kristina Kitsos, an aesthetic injector, also challenged Simon’s choice.
“Simon Cowell has received too much botox, causing the sides of his brows to hang like that. I strongly suggest my clients start small and build on it as needed to appear refreshed and natural.
I don’t know if there is a right or wrong side to this issue, but I’ve never seen Simon look like this before.
