In recent months, many celebrities have spoken out about the ongoing conflict between Israel and Palestine.
Hundreds of celebrities expressed their support for Israel, many supported Palestine and others called for a ceasefire. With support from both sides, celebrities like Gal Gadot, Bella Hadid, Noah Schnapp and Amy Schumer have been criticized and criticized for their social media posts.

Susan Sarandon – Dropped by Talent Agency
Following pro-Palestine comments, Susan Sarandon was dropped by her talent agency UTA (United Talent Agency), it was revealed on November 21st, after nearly 10 years.
“There are a lot of people afraid of being Jewish at this time, and are getting a taste of what it feels like to be a Muslim in this country,” the actress said at a rally, via Deadline.
Tara Strong – Dropped From Animated Series
Voice actress Tara Strong was fired from an upcoming animated series, Boxtown, after her comments on social media, and she revealed on Twitter/X that she found about her firing on the social media platform.
“As some of you may have heard, Tara Strong is no longer involved with Boxtown or Bandit Mill Animation and will no longer be voicing the character of ‘Bill the Orphan,’” the show’s Twitter/X wrote. “This decision was due to a trend among Tara’s recent online activity, including posts that promote controversial messages regarding the peoples of Palestine currently being affected by the ongoing Israel-Palestine crisis.”
“We believe that our public platform gives us a duty to be careful when it comes to hateful messages and misinformation online. This extends to our cast and crew.
This was not a difficult decision” the statement continued. “Our hearts are with the Palestinian and Israeli children and families being affected by the ongoing conflict. People should be able to live freely without being threatened by constant abuse and terror. We are hoping for the best.”
In response to the initial statement of her firing, Tara responded, “Just found out on twitter! This is what happens when you help fans get shows made I guess. Fired for being Jewish. Glad I helped you get your kickstarter money. Please lose my email address & pray for my family in Israel and in Gaza. & #prayforpeace.”
She also responded to another tweet about one of the posts she liked, saying, “I liked it when I saw ISIS=HAMAS, I actually didn’t read the entire tweet which is AWFUL & unliked as SOON as I realized. I love everyone…except terrorists. The internet is SO quick to peg people & make judgements. I’m still here to help everyone, & I mean that”
Melissa Barrera – Dropped From Movie
Following several posts over the past few weeks, Melissa Barrera was fired from the upcoming Scream 7, where she was to reprise her role of Samantha Carpenter, for pro-Palenstine support.
According to Variety, her firing was “due to her social media posts that referred to Israel as a ‘colonized’ land and floated an antisemitic trope that Jews control the media.”
One post of of hers read, “Western media only shows the [Israeli] side. Why do they do that, I will let you deduce for yourself,” while another said, “I too come from a colonized country” with a Mexican flag emoji. “Palestine WILL be free” it continued, along with a quote: “they tried to bury us, they didn’t know we were seeds.”
Mia Khalifa – Lost Business Opportunites
Model and media personality Mia Khalifa has lost out on at least two opportunites due to her pro-Palenstine stance and comments.
“If you can look at the situation in Palestine and not be on the side of Palestinians, then you are on the wrong side of apartheid and history will show that in time,” she wrote on Twitter/X. Another post reads, “I’d say supporting Palestine has lost me business opportunities, but I’m more angry at myself for not checking whether or not I was entering into business with Zionists. My bad.”
Todd Shapiro, who was going to work with Mia, said in response to one of her posts, “This is such a horrendous tweet
@miakhalifa. Consider yourself fired effective immediately. Simply disgusting. Beyond disgusting. Please evolve and become a better human being. The fact you are condoning death, rape, beatings and hostage taking is truly gross. No words can explain your ignorance. We need humans to come together, especially in the face of tragedy. I pray for you to become a better person. However, it clearly seems like it’s too late for you. ”
Prior to that, she reportedly lost her contract with Playboy.
“We are writing today to let you know about our decision to terminate Playboy’s relationship with Mia Khalifa, including deleting Mia’s Playboy channel on our creator platform. Over the past few days, Mia has made disgusting and reprehensible comments celebrating Hamas’ attacks on Israel and murder of innocent men, women and children. At Playboy, we encourage free expression and constructive political debate, but we have a zero tolerance policy for hate speech. We expect Mia to understand that her words and actions have consequences. We included the letter we shared with Mia below,” the brand said.
