After people noticed a dog who was lying unconscious on a sidewalk in Brooklyn, they were left heartbroken, fearing the worst. The senior pup was extremely emaciated and her ribs were showing.
When the onlookers realized that the doggo, later named Feisty, was still alive, their hearts were filled with joy and hope that she would pull through.
Many people started posting urgent pleas for help on Facebook, which caught the attention of Second Chance Rescue, based in New York City. The kind-hearted bystander, along with the rescue staff, rushed the dog to the emergency hospital.
Giving Feisty The Help She Needed
“She was covered in urine and fleas, and her nails were so overgrown they were embedded into her paw pads. But the biggest concern was the masses on her body and whether they were cancerous or benign,” said Rachel Larkin, the rescue’s director of social media.
She was immediately given antibiotics, pain relievers, and fluids.
The hospital staff fell in love with Feist as soon as they met him. He was the cutest dog I’ve ever wanted to love. They kissed and hugged him a lot. The big dog was very grateful for the love and care shown to him. When rescue volunteers visit her at the hospital, Feisty is happy to see them. His tail was constantly wagging as he covered her in kisses. The volunteers were delighted to see him doing so much better.
the happiest news
dog on a leash
Ever since Feisty was found on the sidewalk, everyone suspected she had cancer. The shelter found a hospice, but a wonderful family took Feisty in, wanting to make the rest of her life as happy as possible.
As soon as Feisty moved into her foster home, she won their hearts. They immediately felt a strong bond with the adorable puppy.
The family could not hide their joy when the dog’s biopsy revealed that it was not cancerous. It was the best news they had ever heard.

Feisty was no longer a hospice. He was a healthy dog who needed a home, and his foster family knew he was with them. Feisty’s foster parents were happy to fill out an adoption application. They were both excited that this beautiful puppy would be part of their family forever.
Feisty, now known as FeeFee, loves her new life. He finally has a family that loves him and appreciates him very much. Feisty has become the happy dog she should always be. We are so happy that Feisty has found a loving family that loves her. A wonderful dog deserved to find her happily ever after. A big thank you to the good Samaritan who took Paisti to the hospital and to all the good people who helped this sweet puppy find the happiness and love he always dreamed of.
