Unfortunately, there are cruel dog owners who abandon their loyal companions when they need love. Comfort was three months old when his ruthless family kicked him out of the only home he had ever known.
A good Samaritan who witnessed the tragic scene took the cute puppy to a shelter in Los Angeles, California. Feeling betrayed by the people he trusted the most, he began to shake violently in the corner of the kennel.

The puppy, later named Comfort, was malnourished and dehydrated when brought to the shelter and refused to eat. It is also infested with fleas.
He continued to shake and twitch in the kennel. He avoided seeing or touching shelter staff.
Shelter staff and volunteers were saddened to see the dog shaking with fear. Ashley Pittman volunteers at the Los Angeles shelter and nonprofit organization Rescue Target. She wanted to help Comfort find a foster home and posted a video of the terrified dog on her Instagram account. The video was soon reposted on TikTok and went viral.
One of the people who saw the video was Pittman and a foster family who contacted Target Rescue. The woman said she was picking up the puppy from the shelter when she was terrified.
Rescuers placed Comfort in foster care and her foster mother took her home. She is determined to help him overcome all his fears and become the dog he was always meant to be.

During her first few days in foster care, Comfort continued to sniff and hide under the bed. Comfort’s foster mother cares and loves this beautiful puppy very well.
