Unfortunately, she was blind when she was adopted by her family, and even her eyes were subsequently removed. However, for her this was not an obstacle to living life to the fullest.

When they first adopted her, Z, whom her parents called Dog, was blind and in poor health.
“She looked pretty rough in the shelter photos,” Tran Le, Z’s mom, told The Dodo. “The vet suggested that her blindness was due to cataracts and glaucoma. Last year, her eyes were removed because of symptomatic glaucoma.”
Despite his disability, his new family in San Diego, California, saw something special in this pup and didn’t want to let him go. Immediately, she began to give them her best, with an incredibly positive energy and will to live.
But what impressed them most was his love for his favorite game, the game of fetch. It was this activity that truly kept her alive and gave her the greatest joy.
“Right from the start, her fascination with fetch was obvious,” Le said. “She’s always on the lookout for toys, especially her ball, and would bring us toys to throw. She’s relentless in the pursuit of fetch, even waking up in the morning and immediately searching for her ball.”
The very fact that an eyeless dog could successfully play such a game fascinated them even more. Z Even though he couldn’t see anything, he had no trouble finding the ball when his family threw it to him. But that’s not all.
“We’ve tried different sound balls, but she always comes back to the main green and red balls,” Lee said. “I think a ball that makes noise is too easy for her, and she enjoys making simple bouncy balls.”
