Annie Windley overcame anorexia and is now sharing her story to assist others.

She weighs 30 kg and is susceptible to a heart attack at any time. She struggled with anorexia for more than five years, seeing many doctors and receiving treatment.

Annie wanted to get stronger and healthier; therefore, she saw rehabilitation as a good process in her life that would only benefit her.

Annie believes there is always time to make the correct decision and select the right path, especially if your life is in jeopardy.

We are the only ones who can assist ourselves because no one else can if we do not want to change and be helped.

Annie was diagnosed with an eating disorder in 2012, but her treatment did not begin for another two years. She put in a lot of effort, but things didn’t seem to be going well. However, in October 2017, she began to fight for her life in earnest.

Annie described her struggle as complex and emotional due to the process she was going through.

She also stated that she realised that it doesn’t matter how many pounds you have; what counts is how you interact with others and how you make others feel when they spend time with you since no one will spend time with you. If you make someone feel horrible, it doesn’t matter how much weight you have.

Annie began to pay more attention to others around her, attempting to be a better daughter, friend, and person.

Running also helped her remain on track, and she even completed the Chesterfield Half Marathon. Annie runs every morning and feels considerably better as a result. It is also a lot healthier.

Annie believes that exercise and training should be viewed as a celebration of what our bodies are capable of rather than a punishment for what we have eaten.

She is currently striving to eat healthier and no longer counts calories in food.

Annie encourages everyone to fight their issues since everyone deserves a better life. We must be conscious that if we genuinely want to, we can accomplish anything we set our minds to. We must confront challenges to avoid a life of regret and sadness.
