The 21-year-old, who earlier this year made international headlines by claiming to be British Madeleine McCann, received the eagerly anticipated DNA test results.
After claiming to be McCann, a young girl who vanished from a Portuguese vacation resort in 2007, Julia Wendell—also known as Julia Faustyna or Julia Wandelt—became well-known in February.
Wendell created the “Help me, I need to talk to Kate and Gerry McCann” Instagram account with the username “iammadeleinemccan,” and she supported her claim with “evidence” like side-by-side comparisons of the physical characteristics she has in common with Madeleine.
The Pole eventually had to leave her country after receiving death threats as a result of the media attention her case received, but she has insisted repeatedly that she is not lying on purpose.
The 21-year-old’s correct claim was put to the test last month by a Swiss artificial intelligence company to see if it revealed any serious problems.
McCann and Wendell’s faces were allegedly fed into Ava-X’s Iris facial recognition algorithm through photos. The computer software came to the conclusion that Madeleine, who went missing, was “practically impossible” to be the young lady.
The technology was able to find a match between images of Wendell as a child and as an adult, according to the company’s co-founder Christian Fehrlin. But with pictures of Madeleine, it couldn’t.
The Swiss tabloid Blick quoted Fehrlin as saying, “When we did the same thing with Maddie’s picture, there was no match.”.
The girl’s family has vehemently refuted her allegations in the meantime.
Julia is the family’s daughter, granddaughter, sister, niece, cousin, and step-niece, according to a statement from the household.
“We have photos and memories. The birth certificate, as well as various hospital discharges, were taken from the family home by Julia, who also has these pictures”.
Wendell recently made an appearance on the television program Dr. Phil to bring attention to her predicament. She has been working tirelessly to find a solution.
She migrated to the US after being ejected forcibly from Poland for her safety, as was previously mentioned. She reportedly underwent a DNA test to prove her kinship to the McCann clan.
She is from Poland and has Lithuanian and Romanian ancestors, but the results indicate that she is not Madeleine.
Dr. She is definitely 100% Polish, Fia Johansson told RadarOnline. She has a trace amount of Lithuanian and Russian ancestry, but Polish, according to her DNA”.
Prior to the test results being revealed, Dr. Johansson, who has been given power of attorney over Julia, said she had a “gut feeling” that her client wasn’t Madeleine.
We discovered a few things, one of which is that Madeleine McCann is not Julia’s mother, who is now believed to be her mother, according to Dr. Johansson.
Although they are unsure, they think Julia’s mother is her mother. They question her father’s account of events. As part of their study of the DNA, they are investigating that.
However, they think Madeleine McCann is not Julia’s mother; rather, they think Julia is her mother. “.
UK sources claim that authorities will receive a new infusion of funding for the Madeleine search worth tens of thousands of pounds.
A source with knowledge of the investigation said, “This is fantastic news.”. Kate and Gerry, Maddie’s parents, will be happy. It gives me fresh optimism.
All I can hope for is that something is done about it quickly so that the distraught parents of Madeleine McCann can finally get some sleep.
