I recently saw a statement somewhere that rescuing dogs is 50% sadness and 50% relief, and honestly, that’s a pretty accurate assessment.

When people come across abandoned or stray animals, there is a real sadness in knowing that so many dogs are suffering and they want to help them all. The other half is relieved to see that their rescued pup is finally safe and has a bright future with a new family.

This is the most precious moment when everyone wishes to have a pet. In this article, I will tell you about the rescue story of a dog who was saved from euthanasia and given a second chance by a kind person.

Beagle who couldn’t contain his joy

These days, it is very common for many owners to give up and put their pets to sleep because medical problems are so expensive to treat.

It wasn’t unusual for Gregory the beagle. He almost fell until a man named Joe Kirk came to his aid.

He saved her two days before euthanasia. It turned out to be the best possible outcome for Joe and his wife, Shanley, who runs a non-profit animal rescue organization called Hound Rescue and Animal Sanctuary.

Based in Findlay, Ohio, the organization focuses on helping abandoned animals find new homes and caring for older dogs that cannot be adopted. Shanley said in a statement on Facebook: Gregory is a grateful and appreciated beagle! He knows he is safe!

He is positive and recovering but knows he is in good hands! We will make him healthy and give him the love and wonderful future he deserves!

When he was finally safe and in the Kirk family’s care, they took him to the vet and treated him for heartworm.

Immediately after treatment, she was listed for adoption, and Gregory didn’t have to wait long. A family knocks on the door and wants to adopt him. After some time he was transferred to his eternal home. He is now enjoying time with his new family and new beagle siblings.

Shanley said in a beautiful statement: We are often asked how many dogs we rescue. The answer that always comes to mind is that we have one more thing. The other dog will be safe and get all the love and respect they deserve. The other dog was well fed and received the necessary veterinary care. Another dog will have a loving forever home. There are no better feelings and satisfactions in life.

What we learn from this story is that a little kindness for a dog goes a long way and that we can always do more to help those in need.
