There is no dedication that can match that of a dog. They love us unconditionally, put us first, and will even risk their lives for us if necessary. This is why dogs are ideal K9 officers. Their impeccable work ethic makes them an indispensable part of law enforcement. A video of Wanwan, a former K9 dog from China, shows just how strong the bond can be between police dogs and their handlers. Years after retiring, she was finally able to see her co-worker for a short time. The whole meeting was captured by cameras, and they were in tears …

Wangwang is an old dog with a nephar

Wangwang is now a nine -year -old German shepherd. She retired in 2019 after many years of a dedicated service as a dog with a Nefer at a control point in the province of Henan, in Central China. Like all K9 companions, Wan Wan was a highly trained and obedient police dog with an outstanding record.

However, over time, the strength and ability to perform such high-load tasks are lost, so our furry heroes need a well-deserved rest for many years. So, after more than half a century of service, Wanwan also retired.

She never saw her husband again after 2019

Sadly, after being done with her service, Wangwang had to part ways with her handler. She was adopted by a different family, and has never seen him since.

Since 2019, she has been a family dog with a simple, low-key life.

The “Reunion Video” Went Viral

One day his former master was touring his area and decided to surprise him.

As shown in a video on the Douyin account of the Sichuan Provincial Police, her master called her name as she stood in the front yard of her new home. The prince took only a second to understand who is calling her.

She ran out of the front door and immediately rushed to his hands. He patted her head and she lay on the ground and let out a little cry. Not only did Wanwan not forget about his master, he actually seemed to miss him. This entire encounter was heartbreaking and emotional, revealing what the relationship between police dogs and their owners is really like.

I hope this isn’t their last meeting, but the start of a new friendship outside of the office.
