Rescue Mission
Hooch’s journey began when rescuers discovered him next to a dumpster, in critical condition, with both of his back legs broken. The sight was heart-wrenching; his rear end crushed, leaving him in excruciating pain. Rushed to Rescue Dogs Rock in New York City, Hooch underwent surgery to repair his shattered legs. Additionally, he suffered from hookworm infestation, leading to severe health complications.
Road To Recovery
Besides his physical injuries, Hooch bore deep emotional scars. Terrified of humans, he cowered in fear whenever approached, seeking refuge in corners. Recognizing the urgent need for rehabilitation, rescuers sought a foster parent who could provide Hooch with the patience and care he desperately required. Fortunately, they found an ideal match – a devoted foster mom committed to helping him heal.
Transformation Begins
Under the devoted care of his foster mom, Hooch slowly began to transform. With time, his confidence grew, and his once timid demeanor gave way to trust and affection. Gradually, he allowed people to pet him, seeking comfort in cuddles and kisses.
