On June 29, at the age of 89, actor Alan Arkin, an Academy Award winner, passed away. TCM reports that Arkin is survived by three kids. With his first wife, Jeremy Yaffe, he had sons he named Matthew and Adam, and with his second wife, Barbara Dana, he had children he named Anthony and Adam. Arkin remarried Suzanne Newlander in 1996; they were still together at the time of his demise.

 

Following the disclosure, Arkin’s sons gave an interview to People, in which they claimed that their father “was a particularly talented force of nature, both as an artist and a man. In addition to being a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, he was adored and will be sorely missed. It was not specified in the statement what the cause of death was.
