After 14 failed adoptions, this dog found the home he was waiting for.
It’s always hard to be disappointed at first.

Imagine being disappointed for the 14th time. It will be heartbreaking.

You can imagine how Ronald the dog felt. Although he was promised a warm shelter 14 times in a row, he was always trapped in the shelter.

Soon, Ronald began to fear adoption. It never ends well with him.

But Ronald’s weak offense was finally catching on. A loving family arrived and offered Ronald more than an official adoption. They offered him a home.

Ronald is the record holder.

Even though the Guinness record has been broken several times, Ronald will keep it. This sweet, big boy with an even bigger heart thought 14 times that he was going to his forever home. That’s three times more than some shelter dogs receive in their entire lives!

Some people think Ronald is too big. Some people didn’t want him around small children. And some people haven’t even given a valid reason for not wanting to keep this big hearted puppy as a pet. Ronald was so devastated that he stopped counting.

However, a spark of hope burned in his heart and he prayed that a good family would come and give him a chance to live a beautiful life. Things were different when Ronald appeared at the SPCA of North Carolina on the Wake County website. He felt that something was going to change. Dog Adoption Notice

The shelter receives so many applications to adopt Ronald that they are at capacity! By night, everyone knew his story and wanted to give him a home. Over a million people have shared Ronald’s story, raised awareness and donated to the shelter. Hope grew in the heart of this good boy.

It wasn’t all in vain… it was a first. Ronald is adopted…finally!

News of Ronald’s successful adoption

I think Ronald’s lucky number is 15!

His new family reports that Ronald is doing well. He has a new furry little brother, an Australian Shepherd named Billy! They didn’t care that Ronald was a 50-pound big boy and that he was often rejected. This was a special dog because they saw it in his eyes.

This North Carolina pup finally has all he ever dreamed of: a cozy bed, a loving family, people who appreciate him, and a chance for a bright future.

There were many applicants for Ronald left disappointed. But, they shouldn’t be! The SPCA has so many dogs looking for furever homes. They all need their own hoomans, so why don’t you become one?

Help them out by adopting or donating. Your act matters!
