While there are countless canines waiting for a better future, there are also stories that make us believe that humanity is not dead. This is one of those stories…

A Great Dane puppy named Angelo was almost lost when he was found on the street. This poor boy was so severely malnourished that he could no longer stand up.

Then the most amazing thing happened! A woman volunteers to save stray dogs. However, Angelo’s case was not easy, he still required serious medical intervention.

It turned out that the reason this Great Dane could barely move was because he had a stone in his stomach. Unfortunately, Angelo suffered from malnutrition and starvation and ate rocks to survive.

His stomach was full of stones and when he was brought to the shelter he was not allowed to eat or sit on the toilet. The condition was life-threatening and required immediate surgery, but even then, the Great Dane’s well-being was not guaranteed.

Furever Rescue Foster did a great job.

Hanan, the woman at Furever Rescue Foster, did everything she could to keep Angelo alive. The surgery was expensive and required a painful recovery process afterward. So he decided to ask for help via social media.

When Justin Finning and his wife Deborah saw the picture of the poor boy, they moved mountains to help him, despite being far from home. Justin, Deborah and Angelo are meant for each other.

It was not the first time that Great Danes Justin and Deborah decided to save.

The couple has over 30 years of experience rescuing and caring for disabled Great Danes. When they heard about Angelo’s case, they immediately knew they wanted to help save Angelo’s life.

But the problem was that Angelo was in another country. He couldn’t fly until the surgery. Together with Hanan, the couple launched a fundraising campaign to raise the money needed for Angelo’s treatment. In addition to the initial surgery, I also needed physical therapy, hydrotherapy, and a very expensive special diet.

Fortunately, the human couple successfully completed this incredible mission and provided Angelo with much needed help. The operation was a success and the boy now needs time to get back on his feet before being flown to his forever home. When the day finally came, Hanan wrote on Facebook:

“Finally Angelo went home and he is soo happy and enjoying his life.

Justin Finning Deborah Noakes thank you both for sponsoring him and accepting him in your small paradise.”

A Happy Boy In His Furever Home

Justin and Deborah were inclined to help Angelo fully recover. They regularly took him to his therapy sessions, and after a few months, this gorgeous boy finally reached his full potential.

He’s no longer a shy, reserved boy, but a loud, perky Dane who loves being in the center of attention. He runs, plays in his new, spacious back yard, and goes to a beach with his family!

However, the favorite part of his new life is definitely his new housemates. He lives with three other dogs, and he enjoys life to the fullest. We wish him a long, happy life, full of love and new adventures. He sure deserves it!
