Stephen “tWitch” Boss, the deceased husband of Allison Holker, is remembered.
The mother of three reflected on the influence of the former DJ of the Ellen DeGeneres Show in a statement announcing his passing on December 14.
In a statement to E! News, Holker said, “I have to inform my spouse Stephen has left us with the heaviest of hearts.”
“Stephen lit up every room he entered,” someone said.
He placed a high emphasis on his kin, friends, and neighborhood. He firmly thought that the best course of action was to lead with love and light. He was our family’s rock, the ideal husband and father, and an example to his followers.
To say he left a legacy and had a great impact on people’s lives would be an understatement, she continued. There will never be a day when we forget about him, I’m sure of it. For my sake and the sake of our three children, we respectfully request your privacy during this trying time.
She told her husband, “Stephen, we love you, we miss you, and I’ll always save the last dance for you.
Fans have enjoyed seeing Boss make their televisions smile for years. He made appearances on The Wade Robson Project and Star Search on MTV in 2003. On the 2008 season of So You Think You Can Dance, he placed second. In 2010, during the All-Star season, Boss returned to the dance competition and met fellow dancer Holker. The pair wed in 2013. They had three children: Zaia, 3, Weslie, 14, and Maddox, 6.
In 2014, Boss debuted as a DJ on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. He was promoted to co-executive producer in 2020, where he remained until the talk show’s cancellation in 2022. He also frequently filled in as a host during this time. On Ellen DeGeneres’ game program Ellen’s Game of Games, he also made an appearance.
Viewers have seen Boss in a variety of TV and movie roles over the years, including his return to SYTYCD as a judge, cameos in programs like Modern Family and Bones, and appearances in movies like Magic Mike XXL and the Step Up movies.
Boss and Holker routinely shared short videos of themselves dancing together and family photos on social media to give followers a look into their relationship. The pair celebrated their tenth anniversary of marriage just four days before Boss passed away, and both of them posted tributes on social media.
Our tenth wedding anniversary is today! The post was made on December 10 by Holker. “I am so appreciative of the chance to enjoy this wonderful day!” Saying YES to @sir twitch repeatedly was among my wisest moves ever! I’m currently feeling tremendously appreciative and valued! “I love you,” I say, “and I will never take our relationship for granted.
