Boyzone and The One Show singers sang throughout the service.

Ronan Keating has paid tribute to his older brother Ciaran Keating after the tragic death of Ciaran Keating in a car accident last week.

Sibling of the Boyzone singer passed away at age 57 after suffering injuries in a terrible car accident in Ireland. Rumor has it that Ciaran was traveling with his wife Annemarie to see their 28-year-old son Ruair play football for Cork City FC.

Thursday’s funeral service for Ciaran took place at St. Louisburgh’s Saint Patrick’s Church in County Mayo. This Is Your Song, which was originally written for Ronan’s mother Marie, who passed away from cancer in 1998, was performed as a tribute to his brother by Ronan, according to the MailOnline. According to reports, he said to the mourners, “I shouldn’t be singing it under these circumstances, but we are and we shall. ”.

The 46-year-old host of The One Show was one of the six pallbearers who escorted his brother’s coffin into the church prior to the service. Public figures, including Cork City FC players and likely friends and family members, came in close succession. Ronan’s wife Storm comforted him once they were inside.

On his way to his son’s football game, father-of-three Ciaran was killed in a collision in Swinford, County Mayo. To receive non-life-threatening medical care, his wife Annemarie was transported to Mayo University Hospital. Medical attention was also given on the spot to the driver of the other car that was involved in the collision.

Shortly after the tragic news was made public, Cork City FC uploaded a memorial to Ciaran online. The statement read, “Everyone at Cork City FC is deeply saddened by the passing of Ciaran Keating, the father of our player Ruair Keating.

We send Ruair and the entire Keating family our heartfelt condolences during this terribly trying time. Be in peace, my friend. We respectfully ask that the family’s privacy be observed during this difficult time. ”.

Some of Ronan’s close friends and coworkers also sent their condolences to Ciaran online. A fellow Boyzone member named Keith Duffy wrote on social media that he “couldn’t understand the loss and destruction experienced by my brother @rokeating and the entire Keating family. Currently, the Keatings are on everyone’s mind and in our family’s prayers. ”.

Then Keith talked about his own interactions with his bandmate’s older brother and how helpful he had been in the beginning. “Ciaran, you toured with us from the beginning, you were a great guide on our early journey,” he wrote on Instagram. “You helped and helped us, you little, innocent kids. Friend, pull up a chair by Mam Marie and enjoy paradise. ”.

During the service, a visibly upset Ronan is reported to have said to his late brother’s three children, “Your strength over the past few days has been incredible, and you’ve done your dad very proud. ”.
