Jack Nicholson is regarded as one of the greatest actors of his generation thanks to his memorable roles in films like The Shining, Chinatown, and One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest.
But among LA sports fans, he was also well known for frequently sitting courtside at Lakers games. Basketball fans could always count on the three-time Oscar winner to be present in his usual spot, especially during the most important games.
Nicholson has become less visible to the public in recent years, and it has been over a year since he last attended a Laker game. Fans were shocked when the actor made a rare public appearance over the past weekend, though.
Nicholson attended game 6 of the Los Angeles Lakers’ first-round playoff series against the Memphis Grizzlies. He had last been to a Lakers game in October 2021. He returned to his son’s and his usual courtside seats.
Fans greeted the legendary actor with open arms after clips from The Shining and Batman were shown. Thunderous applause erupted when Nicholson appeared on the jumbotron.
In Hollywood movies since 2010, Nicholson, who recently turned 86, hasn’t made an appearance. A lot of his fans are concerned about his health because he makes public appearances much less frequently.
Last month, the actor was only occasionally visible in paparazzi photos taken in front of his Beverly Hills home. Despite the fact that some media outlets criticized him for appearing “disheveled” and “unrecognizable,” many of his fans praised him and said he looked youthful.
He may be getting older, but he still looks like Jack; it’s obvious he’s still going strong after seeing him at the Lakers game.

Jack Nicholson has been a dedicated Lakers fan for a very long time. According to AP, who asserts that Nicholson initially bought season tickets in 1970, he would even alter his Hollywood shooting schedule in order to attend significant games.
The actor has consistently shown up courtside for Lakers home games sporting his signature sunglasses. Undoubtedly, the sight of Jack returning to the court after a lengthy absence thrilled the crowd.
