Sure, Aubrey Plaza could have bought her own apartment in New York City or stayed in a hotel for long periods of time, but she got a much better deal when she signed on to star in a play off-Broadway.
The Emmy-nominated actress is currently staying with the Broadway legend while in town to star in Danny and the Blue Sea. In a new interview with Vulture, Aubrey revealed that she lives with her Marvel Agatha: The Darkhold Diaries co-star Patti LuPone.
“Lupone later became a surrogate mother, making Plaza soup and doing laundry,” the report said. Aubrey: βHe insisted. “He’s trying to get me in shape.”
In the film, Aubrey discussed how Patti helped her understand the difference between stage acting and screen acting. He said, βI don’t think I know. “The show’s over,” Patti said. Makes sense to me.
Aubrey collapsed with a sore throat just before the play’s rehearsal. “I thought, ‘Why is this happening?'” Patty mused. “This happens because you have to be strong,” she said.
For those of you who don’t know, Patti is a three-time Tony Award winning actress for her roles in the musicals Evita, Gypsy and Company. Have you seen Aubrey, the celebrity you met at the movie night in September?
