Sure, Aubrey Plaza could have bought her own apartment in New York City or stayed in a hotel for long periods of time, but she got a much better deal when she signed on to star in a play off-Broadway.
The Emmy-nominated actress is currently staying with the Broadway legend while in town to star in Danny and the Blue Sea. In a new interview with Vulture, Aubrey revealed that she lives with her Marvel Agatha: The Darkhold Diaries co-star Patti LuPone.
“Lupone later became a surrogate mother, making Plaza soup and doing laundry,” the report said. Aubrey: “He insisted. “He’s trying to get me in shape.”
In the film, Aubrey discussed how Patti helped her understand the difference between stage acting and screen acting. He said, “I don’t think I know. “The show’s over,” Patti said. Makes sense to me.
Aubrey collapsed with a sore throat just before the play’s rehearsal. “I thought, ‘Why is this happening?'” Patty mused. “This happens because you have to be strong,” she said.
