When we are unable to protect our children from harm, their guardian angels are a powerful line of defense.
There is danger everywhere. When you leave the comforts of home, there is no way to predict what might happen to you or your children. This has been the case ever since Adam and Eve, and it will continue to be the case until Jesus returns in his second coming.
The fact that we don’t live in isolation is wonderful.
According to the Catholic Church’s Catechism, “human life is surrounded by [angels] and their watchful care and intercession from its beginning until death” (CCC 336). Each of us has a guardian angel that God has appointed to guide, protect, and watch over us. Although we don’t always feel or see them, they are always present and prepared to assist us if necessary.
We just have to ask.
It is easy for parents to forget that their children have guardian angels and that we can pray to them and ask for their mighty protection over our children through the mediation of our guardian angel. When we can’t be there to physically protect our kids, it’s best to pray to their guardian angel.
This short prayer, which is typically titled “A Mother’s Prayer to the Guardian Angels of Her Children,” may help us to find peace and calm our hearts by reminding us that our children are in capable hands.
I heartily thank you for all the love and goodness you show to my children, and I humbly salute you, O you faithful, heavenly friends of mine. When the time comes, I will repay your care for them and acknowledge their debt to your direction and protection in front of the entire heavenly court with gratitude that is more worthy than I can currently offer.
Keep an eye out for them.
Take care of their physical and spiritual requirements. Also, please pray for me, my husband, and my entire family, so that one day we can all rejoice in your blessed presence. Amen.
