One of the most renowned live country music performers, Willie Nelson has influenced a newer generation of country music performers with his and his family’s contributions to the genre.
Willie Nelson is touring the country with the Nelson Family band at the age of 89 and is still in good health.
He had recently made public for the first time that he had been hiding a major health issue earlier this year.
When the Willie Nelson Family Band was on tour in May of last year, Willie Nelson revealed that one of the members had tested positive for COVID-19. Willie Nelson and his band made the decision to postpone their headline appearance at Jazz Fest as a result.
The public just recently learned who the mysterious band member was thanks to Willie’s recent admission that he was in fact acting the part.
The New York Times said that the 89-year-old veteran of country music was dozing off on his tour bus before departing for Nashville. They said that he complained of breathing difficulties when he awoke in the middle of the night. The COVID-19 virus is currently detected favorably in Willie’s fast PCR test findings.
The situation is made much more terrible by the fact that he had just turned 89 at the time, making him more susceptible to the subtleties of the virus.
