Because they have such a great attachment, this puppy doesn’t mind helping a blind dog with daily activities.
The little dog is so sweet to lead and protect his friend; they are both gorgeous.
Tao, a stunning senior Golden Retriever, and his mother, Melanie Jackson, have a long relationship. The existence of the twelve-year-old canine was cut short a year ago when he was diagnosed with glaucoma.
But, just when Tao was to give hope, a small beam changed his life forever.
Jackson took her beloved dog Tao to the vet a year ago when he suddenly began. Tao completely lost vision in one of his eyes and began shaking his head in anguish just a few hours after the soreness began.
Tao had to have his blind eye removed after the veterinarian discovered he had glaucoma. A condition in which fluid accumulates inside the eye, resulting in increased intraocular pressure, discomfort, redness, and vision loss. Tao had bilateral glaucoma, which can affect one or both eyes.
Tao’s remaining eye had to be removed following the removal of his other eye due to high pressure. Jackson was worried about her gorgeous child.
Surprisingly, Tao is still pleased. He knew for sure: his family would never abandon him. In just a few days, he learned to climb the stairs by himself and could even go for walks without a leash.
Oko became Tao’s guide after Jackson decided she needed to better Tao’s life somehow.
Oko is an eight-week-old puppy with a cheerful demeanour and a kind heart. Jackson recognised the puppy since it exuded love and enthusiasm.
Tao instantly connected with the lovely, fluffy ball of fur that appeared to follow his every move, as was to be expected.
Tao and Oko were soon eating, sleeping, playing, and cuddling. They made happily and were the perfect couple.
He could completely appreciate and benefit from his newfound vigour and passion for life with Oko by his side. He felt and appeared to be many years younger now that he was no longer in pain.
Oko currently acts as Tao’s seeing-eye dog. Tao has learnt to stay near Oko while they are out and about because he knows he can keep him safe and on track.
Because Oko is still a lively and playful puppy, Jackson is sure that he performs his tasks.
“Tao is being trained to follow Oko to listen and respond to my orders to “stop, wait, go right, go left,” Jackson explained.
Jackson has begun to raise awareness of canine glaucoma which genes were responsible for Tao’s glaucoma.
We are overjoyed for the two goldens since it is clear from every photo how much they adore.
