New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers tore his Achilles tendon in the first game of the season on Sept. 11 and was immediately placed on injured reserve.
Because the Achilles tendon injury takes months to fully heal after surgery, no one thought the 39-year-old quarterback would be able to return for the 2023-2024 season. However, at Monday Night Football on November 7, Aaron was seen walking around without crutches or shoes.
He actually threw a pass during warmups. Now, a private on-court conversation with Los Angeles Chargers’ Derwin James has been captured by ESPN, revealing the timing of his injury.
Derwin asked Aaron, “When are you coming back?” I heard him ask. Aaron replied, “Give me a few weeks.”
Find out how much Aaron gets paid for not playing.
