At just 34 years old, Cody Longo, who was going to turn 35 on March 4th and was best known for his 2011 Days of Our Lives performance as Nicholas Alamain, has passed away. His death was announced in a statement over the weekend by his representative, Alex Gittelson.
It has now been determined what caused his death. Longo reportedly died from chronic alcohol abuse, per TMZ. According to the autopsy report that TMZ obtained, his death was listed as natural as a result of “chronic ethanol abuse.”. ”.
“Before he became a client, Cody was a dear friend. For his wonderful wife and children, my heart breaks. We had kept in touch frequently, and although he had taken a break from acting to focus on his music career and spend more time with his family in Nashville, he was eager to resume acting, according to Gittelson.
Gittelson lauded Longo, describing him as a “loyal, loving and talented person” who loved his wife, his children, and his fans. Alongside Chelan Simmons, Garrett Clayton, Tiffany Hines, Jordan Hayes, Hayley Hasselhoff, and Robert Vito, he was slated to play Luke in the upcoming movie Killing Games.
Both an actor and a singer, Cody Longo, also went by the name Cody Anthony occasionally. Between 2010 and 2012, he was the keyboardist for a band called Forever the Day. He eventually parted ways with the group and signed a solo contract with Mirrorball Entertainment.
He released a number of singles over the following few years that rose up the charts, including well-known singles like “She Said,” “Atmosphere,” and “Falling Into You.”. He had already established himself as a successful actor at that point, having appeared in a number of well-liked movies and television shows.

Cody wed Stephanie Clark, his true love, in October 2015. The couple’s three children—a 7-year-old daughter named Lyla, a 5-year-old son named Elijah, and a 19-month-old son named Noah—arrived over the course of the previous seven years. They frequently shared pictures of their kids.

In Hollywood Heights, where he played the lead role of Eddie Duran and appeared in 78 episodes throughout 2012, he achieved perhaps his greatest acting success. In addition to Death House and Rich Boy, Rich Girl, his final film roles were in Nashville, The Catch, and Secrets and Lies.
Sadly, the 34-year-old’s alcoholism plagued him in his last few years, which caused him to pass away on February 8, 2023. After being accused of sexually assaulting a minor, he was also detained and charged with domestic assault. The family and friends who knew him will always miss him.
