Some dogs are considered gentle giants and the world wouldn’t be the same without them.
These dogs may be big, big…big, but their hearts…trust me, are even bigger. Unfortunately, few people know that this breed of dog is usually completely harmless.
In my experience, I have been attacked more times by a small chihuahua than by a larger dog like Newfie or Big Husky. Yes, Chihuahuas have big personalities. I’m not saying other dogs can’t, but there are significant behavioral differences between them…a pattern found in large dogs.
Mia is a true example of her breed – the Great Pyrenees. These dogs were used as herding dogs at that time. Well, they are still excellent shepherds and protectors on farms where needed.
Mia doesn’t live on a farm, but her protective instincts are still very much alive. The currently seven-year-old Pila girl likes to show off her friendly side. And she likes to bring home new friends. Let’s just say her mom, Rachel, isn’t thrilled about Mia’s secret meeting.
Mom, can I keep it? A big white dog in front of the door
Everything is going well. I found new friends. I like Shirley Friend. Mother said they were called turtles. I call them Shirley’s friends. They are so cute!
Just as I was about to go with Shirley’s friend to look at my house, my mother arrived. Mom’s size does not fit Sherry Friend.
It makes me a sad dog. Mom, why don’t I keep Shirley as a friend?
Just when she thought she could go home with another turtle, Mia was caught. This is not surprising; Mia’s mother, Rachel, is used to her older dog taking her little friends home.
Small and unusual friends, I might add. When Rachel, a young student from Sharpsburg, Georgia, first saw Mia with a turtle in her mouth, she was stunned. Can she swallow it? Will Mia hurt this poor wild animal?
Fortunately, Mia turned out to be as gentle as possible. She never hurt anyone, especially her friends.
Yes, friends, because it’s more than just a turtle. Every time Mia meets a new turtle, she tries to take it home. She is a collector. And without her mother, Rachel, their home in Georgia would be overrun by sea turtles.
This super cute girl from the Great Pyrenees never misses an opportunity to meet new friends and take them home. That’s exactly what happened not long ago. Mia found the turtle and knew her mother wouldn’t say no, so she tried to sneak it in. However, Mom already knew about Mia’s intentions. The puppy refused to throw the turtle out and waited patiently for it to come in. A white dog sleeps in the house
After a moment of teasing from her mother, Mia finally dropped the turtle on the floor, intact, with the saddest expression on her face.
Sorry Mia, looks like another bad friend that won’t last. A dog and a turtle are playing
We don’t know what happened to this turtle, but it likely lived a free life in the desert far away from Mias.
Although the story is cute and humorous, it is not completely safe for dogs to keep these animals in their mouths. There is always the possibility that they may accidentally injure the animal, break its shell, or do something worse.
If your dog does something like Mia, make sure you keep it under control and don’t let your puppy play with wild animals. They are not their toys; They are living creatures and should be where they belong.
