The cast of Friends is paying tribute to actor Matthew Perry, who died at the age of 54 this week.
Perry, who played Chandler Bean on the hit sitcom, was found unconscious at his home in Los Angeles on Saturday afternoon, according to multiple media outlets, including TMZ and the LA Times. His death has not yet been confirmed by deputies or family. The official cause of death has not been announced.
Warner Bros. In response to the news, the star released a statement: “We are deeply saddened by the passing of our dear friend Matthew Perry,” the statement read. “Matthew is an incredibly talented actor and Warner Bros. actor. He became an indelible member of the television group family. The impact of his comedic genius was felt around the world and his legacy lives on in the hearts of many. “It’s a heartbreaking day and we send our love to his family, loved ones and all his loyal fans.”
The actress, who played Chandler’s twin daughter Janice Hosenstein in the sitcom’s 10th season, posted a photo from the series showing her holding hands with Perry. “What a waste,” he wrote. “The world will miss him, Matthew Perry. The joy you brought to so many in your too short life continues. I feel blessed for every creative moment we share. ♥️\”
Fairchild, who plays Chandler’s mother on the sitcom, shared a photo from an episode of the sitcom, “Monica and Chandler’s Wedding.”
