Lee Asher, renowned for his work in dog rescue, was called to meet Brutus, a Mastiff labeled as aggressive by the shelter. Asher had no idea of the surprise awaiting him.

A Heartwarming Encounter

Upon meeting Brutus, Asher was astonished as the dog greeted him with affection, despite being described as disliking men. The immediate connection between them left Asher smiling and eager to help Brutus find a loving home.

Meeting the Pack

Asher introduced Brutus to his own pack of small dogs, expecting some tension. However, Brutus surprised him by remaining calm and friendly, even when faced with barking from the other dogs. Asher realized Brutus would fit in well with his pack.

Becoming Part of the Family

Brutus eagerly joined Asher and his pack in the car, showing his gratitude with more kisses. Despite jokingly insisting he wouldn’t keep Brutus, Asher felt his heart stolen by the affectionate Mastiff.

A Forever Home

After spending time with Brutus, now named Hooch, Asher announced on social media that Hooch had found his forever home with him. Hooch now enjoys life in Oregon, showering Asher with kisses and warmly welcoming new rescue dogs to the pack.
