Two devoted parents from Corby, England, are Tony and Theresa Hall. At least based on what the prenatal tests appeared to show, they had assumed everything with their unborn child was fine. The parents, however, were able to see that their daughter wasn’t in the best of health at birth. She actually has a birth defect. In order for her to live a healthy life, she would require assistance.
Hemangioma under Cody’s left eye was present at birth. Stem cells develop into benign tumors as a result of this condition. A huge mark on Cody’s face is all that remains of her illness.
From the moment they laid eyes on her, her parents fell in love with her and wanted to better her life. She was taken on extended walks and given free rein to discover the surroundings. But the onlookers weren’t very kind to the Halls.
According to Tony, who spoke to the Orlando Sentinel, “In England, our neighbor asked my wife if we put a bag over [Cody’s] head when we took her out.”. The stares and remarks from the uninformed people in this world who are unable to comprehend what is going on with her are the hardest thing. ”.
Cody’s condition continued to deteriorate over time. Theresa and Tony decided to take a trip because she would need surgery to fix her condition. They took her to Dr. David Apfelberg, a plastic surgeon in Atherton, California. The doctor was able to remove Cody’s growth after several laser sessions.
While Cody’s parents were happy with her improved health, they also wanted him to lead a typical life and fit in with the crowd. To even out her skin, a second procedure would be required.
Once in New York, they went to see Dr. Milton Waner. The scars on Cody’s face could be removed by this doctor, though it wouldn’t be simple.
She had severe tissue damage, Dr. Waner told Fox News. “Several procedures were carried out to return her face to normal. ”.
Cody underwent 18 operations in the first 14 years of her life. If it weren’t for the generosity of strangers everywhere, the Hall family would not have been able to afford these pricey procedures. They raised $376,000 through their fundraising effort for Cody’s medical bills. The family was incredibly appreciative of this wonderful chance for their daughter.
She now appears to be significantly better, according to Dr. Waner. “If she were walking down the street, you wouldn’t know she had any issues. ”.
Cody is now free from the judgmental looks of strangers and can live her life. She married the love of her life in November 2017 and is now living the happily ever after.
Cody told The Sun, “It was an emotional day and there were some tears, but only tears of joy, especially when I saw [my husband] at the altar. I just want to demonstrate to people that there can be a happy ending,” she proclaimed. ”.
Cody’s story is one of change and sacrifice, and she is grateful to her parents for their dedication to supporting her in regaining her health. The Halls are a prime example of what it means to prioritize your child.
