The Aspinall Foundation works to return captivity-held gorillas to their original habitat. Hundreds of gorillas have been released into the wild under Damian Aspinall’s direction, who has been running the Foundation for the past ten years. During this time, he developed a special affection for Kwibi the gorilla. Kwibi was looked after by Damian until the age of five, after which he was released back into the wild.
The two never expected to run into each other again. Everyone warned Damian that Kwibi would likely have started to acclimate to the wild and would act aggressively toward anyone who tried to approach him, but five years later, Damian made the decision to go looking for his old friend.
In this movie, it is shown what occurs when the two friends get together again after a five-year absence. My chest immediately warmed up, and the results are simply amazing. Watch their touching reunion below.
