Though the oceans and seas are mysterious places, we are discovering more and more about the mysteries and species that deep waters hide thanks to scientists and other people who are interested in marine life.
In the Pacific Ocean, scientists have recently made a magnificent discovery, and we still don’t know what it might be or mean.
In order to use a remotely operated vehicle to investigate a divide in the Lili’uokalani Ridge Seamounts in Hawaii, the Exploration Vessel Nautilus crew ran into a “yellow brick road,” as they put it.
When they made the amazing discovery, which caused many worries, the group was live-streaming their journey beneath the ocean. They immediately noticed what appeared to be a road made of artificially constructed yellow, rectangular blocks, which surprised them as well as everyone who watched the video.
“It’s the road to Atlantis,” could be heard by one crew member, but not by the other. Someone else remarks, “The yellow brick road? ” This is odd. That’s insane, said a third, “Are you serious.”.
No one was able to stop themselves from making assumptions about the design of this “road.”. But as it turns out, the revelation that went viral on social media had a scientific basis.
Researchers claim that the “yellow brick road” is an illustration of historically active volcanic geography.
A fractured flow of hyaloclastite rock, a volcanic rock produced in high-energy eruptions when numerous rock fragments fall to the seabed, has been identified as the “dried lake bed” formation the crew discovered at the summit of Nootka Seamount.
The video is accessible down below.
The waters are amazing to explore, aren’t they? What they hide, only God knows.
