Judy Farrell died on April 2 in the wake of being hospitalized for a stroke. The late actress was 84 years old at the time. Michael, Judy’s son, claims that she had a stroke nine days earlier and was conscious but unable to speak.
She was hitched to her subsequent spouse, Joe Bratcher, at the hour of her passing, and she abandons her girl Erin and Michael.
In the well-known drama “MASH,” which aired from 1972 to 1983, Judy played Nurse Able. She starred alongside Alan Alda as Captain Benjamin “Hawkeye” Pierce and Mike Farrell, her first husband, as Captain B.J. Hunnicutt in the film. In the same year that “M*A*S*H” came to an end, Judy and Mike split up. In 1985, she wedded Bratcher.
Judy made guest appearances as Charlotte Miller in the television drama “Fame” and the comedy “Long-Term Relationship” in 2006. Additionally, she participated in the 2003 television series Port Charles.
After being married for 20 years, Judy and Mike Farrell filed for divorce in 1983. “Just Call Me Mike:” is a memoir by Mike. In “A Journey to Actor and Activist,” he talked about how their marriage broke down when he quit his established business to work full-time as a performer.
His relationship with Judy was strained as a result of the decision, and despite the pain it caused their children, they decided to divorce. He wrote, “For everyone involved, the entire experience was a wrenching, deeply painful ordeal.”
To make things easier for their children, the two made every effort to co-parent, even purchasing two houses in the same neighborhood. Mike uncovered that his separation destroyed him and acquired him to his most reduced second life. He later happened with individual entertainer Shelley Fabares, while Judy had a long marriage with Joe Bratcher.
Mike and Alan Alda remain close friends despite the fact that MASH came to an end 40 years ago. Alda posted a picture on Twitter of him and Mike enjoying wine in 2022.
“Today, Mike Farrell and I are commemorating the 50th anniversary of the show that changed our lives, as well as the brilliant friends who contributed to its success,”
“Squash was a great gift to us,” he composed on Twitter. Despite the fact that the MASH cast has yet to officially address Judy’s passing, they are deeply saddened by the loss of a former cast member.
