Kate Middleton and Prince William’s children sure are growing up fast. As the Royal Family – like most people around the world – finally returns to everyday life following the Covid-19 pandemic, the royal children, Prince George and his siblings, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, are being sighted more and more in public.

The family recently celebrated Queen Elizabeth’s Jubilee, an event for which the whole family was in attendance. Yet despite the fact most people see the royals as individuals who simply mill around and count their rather large piles of money, it turns out that they actually can have jobs … of sorts.

Kate Middleton shared a secret that her firstborn son, Prince George, is busy getting his hands dirty during the school summer holidays.

As it happens, his job is quite a special one indeed …

Kate Middleton and Prince William will likely soon take a well-deserved vacation. Their children, of course, are set to leave school for the summer holidays.

William, Kate & children – summer plans

According to Hello Magazine, Prince George and Princess Charlotte will leave Thomas’s Battersea School on July 8, while four-year-old Prince Louis’ nursery school Willcocks is closing for the summer on July 6. That means that soon, the royal siblings will experience an entire summer together, playing and enjoying the great weather.

It will also most likely mean that Prince William and Kate Middleton will take a step back as regards their official duties. Given that the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee was a hectic time, to say the least, we’re sure the royal couple are looking forward to a relaxing period with their children.

So, what do William and Kate have planned for their children this summer? Well, one big talking point has been the family’s home – they’re reported to be moving out of Kensington Palace.

As relayed by several media outlets in the UK, William and Kate are thought to want to move closer to the Queen, as well as Kate’s parents, who live in Berkshire. With that said, Windsor is likely to be their new home, leaving the family with more space and freedom at the significant royal estate.

The frontrunner for their next home is said to be Adelaide Cottage, within walking distance from Queen Elizabeth’s private apartments at Windsor Castle.

“We’ve been lambing with the children this week,” William told Rhian. “Charlotte wasn’t sure at first, but George was straight in there. Louis loves the tractors.”

“They are starting to build their own happy memories here”

The summer might also include a visit to Queen Elizabeth’s Scottish estate Balmoral. The 50,000-acre estate has endless opportunities for the royal children to explore and have fun, including horse riding, cycling, and fishing. Needless to say, it’s the ultimate summer holiday spot.

“George, Charlotte and Louis already know how dear Scotland is to both of us and they are starting to build their own happy memories here too,” William said last year.

Over the last number of years, the public has gotten some insight into the family’s private life. For example, Prince William and Kate have different rules at home for their children. It also turns out that William has a neat trick to get George and his siblings ready for bed.

Now, anyone who has experience with children will know how tricky it can sometimes be to get them to go to sleep. However, it turns out that Prince William has a brilliant hack that he often employs.

“We started watching one of [David Attenborough’s] newest documentaries. It’s amazing at bedtime when I can crowd the children, just shouting ‘we’re going to watch one of David’s documentaries’ and they come herding in,” William told BBC Radio 4.

“It’s the easiest way to catch my children and get them ready for bedtime.”
