When people think about getting rid of a dog, the most common approach is usually to give the dog to a shelter so that it no longer becomes a problem.

But it is not always simple. Sometimes shelters are overcrowded and people without resources or patience cruelly abandon dogs on the streets, leaving them to fend for themselves until someone finds them.

In this story, we will talk about little puppies left in the middle of a field who cannot survive on their own.

It was a very warm day when a resident of Anson County, North Carolina, discovered a green box at the edge of the forest.

A good Samaritan approached and saw five puppies lying in a box. Someone had left the puppies there, and to make matters worse, it was very hot outside, so they wouldn’t have much time if someone didn’t find them.

They were too small and fragile to climb on their own, so they needed help. Luckily, a good Samaritan took a box, put all the puppies in it and gave them food and water.

After helping them regain their powers, he decided to ask for help.

The next step was to turn them over to our vet partner in North Carolina, Rescue Dogs Rock NYC.

Jackie O’Sullivan told The Dodo: They were thin, dehydrated and had a strange smell. One was unwell and we were worried about parvo, but after hydration, bathing and good feeding, all five were fine.

At the vet, they discovered the puppies were about six weeks old and named them Sullivan, Snoopy, Sanders, Simon and Sassafrass. They underwent a full examination, received vaccinations and fluids and underwent a deworming procedure. After some time they started to recover well. Portrait of a dog sitting on a person’s lap

“Fortunately, he was found in time,” O’Sullivan said.

After they recovered, they were taken to an orphanage to await adoption. I’m not sure if they were adopted, but I’m sure someone would have stepped in by now to get the puppies to their forever homes.
