Following what appeared to be an altercation on the Mother red carpet, Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez recently made headlines for all the wrong reasons. Since the Los Angeles event on Wednesday, rumors have abounded, with paparazzi present to photograph the famous couple in the midst of some sort of argument. We’ll say it right away: the story has probably been greatly exaggerated in most media outlets. Nevertheless, a lip reader has weighed in to clarify what was actually said.
Affleck and Lopez were apparently just discussing poses and positioning for their time in front of photographers, according to the lip reader who spoke with FEMAIL. Instead of having any sort of fall-out, she claimed.

Don’t worry, babe,” Affleck said as he leaned in close to Lopez to reassure her that everything was fine. After that, Lopez retorted, “Get close to me. Affleck, who starred in Dogma, told Lopez that their photos were finished and then leaned in to kiss her and inquire about her well-being. Given that the couple’s interaction on the red carpet occurred the day after a video of Affleck “slamming” a car door in Lopez’s face surfaced on TikTok, the couple’s exchange attracted special attention.
The video, which was described as “miserable” online, gave rise to rumors that the A-list couple was at odds. Naturally, the events at the Mother premiere the following day only served to fuel the rumors in question.
