A brown puppy looking for a place to hide from the harsh life on the streets decided it would be best to hide in a roadside drain.
This little puppy, later named Charlie, stayed in this uncomfortable shelter in the hope that someone would notice and rescue him. Unfortunately, most of the cars were traveling so fast that no one noticed her tiny body.
When Charlie realized this, he was saddened. But what he didn’t know was that his path would change.

When Aubrey W Lynn said goodbye to her gym partner while working from home, she never thought the sweetest person she would talk to that day would interrupt her.
Aubrey knew she had to do something because this adorable puppy was not allowed to spend another night on the street.
But getting this dog to safety wasn’t as easy as it seemed. As the canal was next to a very busy road, Aubrey and her partner were worried that if they were too aggressive with Charlie, they would end up stuck in traffic.

We were both very nervous because sometimes he would leave the nest. But he wouldn’t let us get close enough to catch him.
Then the two came up with a brilliant idea. They went to a local pet store and bought some delicious dog food to get little Charlie out of the sewers.
They set a nice trap and waited. Unfortunately, after 24 hours, the terrified puppy still wasn’t ready to go outside.

We spent hours trying to catch him. He didn’t come out so we left and got back on the scooter and he came right at us.
Aubrey quickly picked up the puppy, not wanting it to run away again. By doing this, Charlie seemed to immediately feel Aubrey’s love for him and was finally able to relax.
He immediately calmed down and didn’t try to escape. new life

Aubrey and her partner went home and took their adorable puppy with them.
They really didn’t want a dog, but spending time with Charlie quickly changed their minds and soon they couldn’t imagine life without him. We never talked about it when we were trying to save him because we were so focused on keeping him safe, but I think we knew at the time that he was now part of our family.

Charlie’s lack of time in the comfort and safety of his loving home meant little to him as he quickly adapted to his new environment. As Aubrey and her partner watch Charlie run and play in their yard, they can’t help but think how wonderful this adorable pup would be for their family.
Good boy Charlie!
