Due to her parents’ posting of videos of their child on the platform, 4-month-old Lara is already a huge star on TikTok. On her TikTok page, the baby is featured in dozens of videos.
The mother of TikTok Lara shared a video of her “growing up” in order to show her followers how much she had changed from the time she was born in the hospital to when she was four months old.
Although Lara was only a few hours old when she was given a glimpse into her life, some of her fans felt that something was off about it. People became aware of Lara’s piercings after watching videos from when she was only 24 hours old. Many people expressed concern over the fact that a newborn child’s ears were pierced at just one day old.
The fact that a baby had her ears pierced at such a young age infuriated TikTok users. They argued over whether it was appropriate. Then there were those who noted that it is common practice in some cultures to pierce a baby’s ears as soon as they are born. People continued to express their worry and anger about Lara’s mother’s decision, saying they believed the infant should have had the freedom to decide for herself when she was older whether or not she wanted her ears pierced.
I just don’t get it, one commenter said in response. Don’t fool yourself, it hurts just like when they get older. One person remarked, “And it hurts just like when they get older! Don’t kid yourself,” while another said, “I’m going to let my babies decide when they understand these things if they want their ears pierced.”.
TikTok But despite all the criticism and reprimand, Lara’s mother not only defended herself but also her choice. When you have your ears pierced when you are 2 or 3 days old, you don’t experience the same level of pain as when you are 1 or 2 years old. The neonatologists themselves drill the holes at the hospital during delivery, the woman claimed. Other people concurred with Lara’s mother and brought up how different cultures have different traditions. Each parent has a unique philosophy about how to raise their child.
