In October 2023, a viral video appeared on TikTok. It showed a couple clearly confused by their dog. In the video, a man sits on a couch and notices that his dog, which he brought home from day care, is acting strange.
He notices that his nose is different from his dog Millie’s. The woman stared at herself and realized that it wasn’t actually her.
Commenters on the video explained why they had trouble identifying Millie, noting that they were first-time puppy owners. The woman started comparing the photos on her phone with the photos of the dog.
However, the man noticed her tail and she said he knew it wasn’t her because the tip of her tail was white.

The question is, how did this happen? Apparently, some daycare owners have a rule about taking off the dog’s collar at night. This was added to prevent dogs from sometimes biting the collar.
