Perhaps Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet’s absence rankles him the most out of all the members of King Charles’ large family that he is unable to visit frequently.
You probably already know that King Charles and his son Prince Harry, as well as Harry’s wife, Meghan Markle, have a tense relationship. The infamous divide has existed for well over a year at this point, and Spare, Harry’s autobiography, wasn’t much better.
Currently, there are many rumours floating around about Harry and Charles perhaps holding peace negotiations. However, rumours suggest that Charles is thinking about more than just patching up his strained relationship with Harry. Naturally, he desires it, but he is also reported to have
The King’s coronation in May was the last time Prince Harry saw his father. It was a brief visit because the Duke returned to the United States immediately after the ceremony at Westminster Abbey to fly back and celebrate his son Archie’s birthday. Of course, the question of whether Harry would even meet with his family members was the talk of the town prior to the coronation.
Since the coronation in May, Harry and Charles won’t have seen one another until their rendezvous. Additionally, it’s the first in-person encounter between father and son since the January release of Spare.
“The King loves his son very much, but what he has done has killed him. He will always be there for him, but slanging bouts in public are off limits,” the person said. If the conversations proceed, the King will make it abundantly clear that moving ahead, there will be zero tolerance for private family business being discussed in public.
Hopefully, the rift between Harry and Charles can be put to rest if they can reach an understanding. The two allegedly had a brief relationship.
Despite this, rumours persist that before any peace negotiations begin, King Charles will have one demand that Harry must hear. This demand includes the king’s right to visit his grandson Archie.
An insider with OK! claims that Charles will not put up with any more family disputes making headlines.
“The King loves his son very much, but what he has done has killed him. He will always be there for him, but public slanging bouts are off limits, according to one insider.
If the conversations proceed, the King will make it crystal clear that private family business will never again be discussed in public.
Although it may be possible for father and son to come to some sort of understanding, rumours claim that there is “no chance” that Harry and William will meet for ‘peace talks,’ as the future king forbids him from seeing his younger brother.
According to a friend of William’s who spoke to the Daily Beast, “He feels completely betrayed by what Harry wrote about him in the book and said about him on Netflix.”
