All dogs need to be happy is a great family who will give them all the love they truly deserve.

Unfortunately, many dogs grow up not knowing what love is and end up in the hands of cruel people who abuse them. These dogs are feeling sad and sad. All they have is a glimmer of hope that someone will save them and give them a chance to find love. Jax was one of the dogs who lived with an abusive owner who abused and starved him. When Jax lost his hope and stopped dreaming of true love, his life was surprised with a new beginning.

I’m taking my cute fighter to the vet.

A good Samaritan noticed a dog that was tired, hungry, and in desperate need of help. They contacted SMART Missing Animal Response Team, a Palm Coast, Fla.-based nonprofit that helps abused and abandoned animals. The rescue group’s founder, Caroline Johnson, immediately rushed to the scene.

The moment she saw her puppy for the first time, her heart was torn. The dog, named Jax, couldn’t even stand on his own two feet. He was very frail and his ribs were sticking out.

The dog looked at her with incredibly sad eyes, as if asking her to help him. Johnson picks Jax up and wraps him in her blanket. She carried him to the car and sat him in the passenger seat.

Her dog continued to approach her until he crawled into her lap. Jax couldn’t stop staring at her. The pup was grateful that Johnson had saved her and showed her kindness and compassion.

When we took Johnson to the vet, she couldn’t stop crying. She was worried that Jax wouldn’t survive. The puppy was very thin. He weighed only 21 pounds. He must have weighed about 45 pounds.

The vet estimated he was about 8 months old.

Love gives Jax the strength to fight

Johnson hugged him and gently stroked his leg, letting him know he was no longer alone. Jax felt safe and melted into his savior’s arms. For the first time in his life, he felt like someone cared about him.

She took him home. Jax couldn’t walk and every time he tried to take a few steps he would fall and start shaking.

Jax’s sadness began to fade as Johnson snuggled closer to him. Her charming brown eyes were full of hope. He wagged her tail and kissed her adoptive mother. He was determined to fight for his life.

This boy has such an amazing fighting spirit. Despite his abuse, he wags and gives kisses so happy to be around love,” Caroline wrote on Facebook.

Little by little, the dog gained weight and regained his strength. Within a week, Jax was able to stand on his own two feet and run around the yard.

Caroline and her family continued to shower Jax with love and care. Within a month, this sturdy pup had gained 20 pounds. He has grown into a strong and confident dog, ready to start a new life.

Jax feels so happy and loved

Johnson felt he had a wonderful family that loved him and couldn’t wait to shower them with all their love.

As soon as Jax saw his new parents, Eric and Steve, he felt attached to them. He approached them and greeted them with lots of sweet kisses. The family instantly fell in love with him.

“We instantly knew as soon as he came up he greeted us outside that this was his place for sure,” Eric told We Love Animals.

Jax’s new family admired him for his ability to forgive and love humans after all the hardships and abuse he went through in his previous home.

They feel blessed to have Jax in their lives.

“He was more of a blessing to us than what we are to him in my book. He’s our joy every day that we wake up… He deserves to have a good life,” Eric added.

Jax lives his best life in Florida. His eyes sparkle with immeasurable happiness because he is loved like never before.
