No bark, growl or bite is as painful as human cruelty. Dogs may instinctively act this way when they feel threatened, but people often hurt these animals on purpose because they can. Some people continue to dump dogs in bags with no food, water or even air, as if abandoning their dogs at home is not a bad thing.

Louis’ story is heartbreaking as he is not only betrayed by his family, but thrown off a bridge with duct tape over his mouth so no one can hear his cries for help. ask for help

Bob Hoelter of Griffith, Indiana usually drives to the local store, but luckily Louie decided to walk that evening.

The light exercise turned into a rescue mission when Hoelter looked over the bridge and heard screams in the distance. He may have ignored it, but Hoelter knew deep down that something was wrong.

He told The Dodo that he followed a small voice calling for help and ended up under a bridge. Because it was already dark, Hoelter had a hard time spotting the dog, but luckily he had a flashlight.

After a while he found the poor dog crouched on the ground, frightened and trembling, but that was not the worst of it. As he approached the dog, Hoelter noticed that the dog actually had electrical tape over its mouth, which infuriated him even more.

When the Hoelters saw the dog’s condition, they knew time was not their friend and had to take the pup to the vet immediately. So she picked him up and took him to Griffith Animal Hospital. stranger with a big heart

doctor. Lori Kovacic of Griffith Animal Hospital in Indiana also shared part of the story. He took the dog to the hospital and saved him from the worst possible situation.

I was out of my chair and in the lobby to get him in seconds.

Kovacic immediately understood the seriousness of the situation and immediately took the puppy without even asking the name or phone number of the person who had picked him up.

He was shocked and heartbroken to see the cute puppy in such a terrible state. The skin on his muzzle was so irritated by the tape that the vet said he had to keep it on for a few days. Kovacic needed a team of veterinarians and technicians to properly treat the puppy.

He was given antibiotics and nasal ointment for an internal infection and received many hugs along with a cozy blanket to finally help him rest. After taking care of the dog, Kovacic regretted that he didn’t have the opportunity or the time to even ask the person who brought the dog its name.

Hoelter, on the other hand, was so happy he got his dog to the hospital in time that he just got out and kept walking to the store. Another day, another twist

After the initial examination, everything appeared to be under control until further tests were carried out, which revealed that the dog’s leg was also broken.

Considering that there has been no treatment for a long time, there is no other option than surgery. Based on the dog’s injuries and what was found under the leg, hospital officials concluded that the dog likely fell to the ground, rather than being thrown into the water.

Fortunately, the dog survived, but suffered serious injuries. doctor. Kovacic was shocked by the whole situation. She was so upset and saddened by the cruelty suffered by the little dog that she posted a message on FB on behalf of the entire hospital.

A million things go through my mind, trying to absorb this. Bottom line, the evil person/people who are responsible will rot in hell. They already have no compassion, no heart, and are stewing in a miserable day-to-day life. Karma.

Sweet Reunion And Furever Home

Things were looking great after the first days of recovery, and the puppy, who was later named Louie, was feeling much better. He even started showing his playful personality at the hospital, which is why everyone simply loved him.

Posts on the Griffith Hospital’s social media account were a huge success, actually, as it helped the staff find Louie’s rescuer and a new home.

Hoelter’s niece came across one of the posts, which she showed to her uncle. They decided to visit the hospital and check up on the puppy before he left the hospital with his new family.

Everyone at the hospital, including Hoelter himself, was surprised by Louie’s reaction when he saw his savior.

I was awestruck because I didn’t think he remembered me.

Well, it seems that Louie did remember, as he ran towards Hoelter as soon as he saw him, and he couldn’t stop kissing and cuddling him.

After this heartwarming moment, Louie finally found his forever home. Mary and Doug Witting, local residents who were clients of the hospital for years, didn’t plan to get a new dog anytime soon after losing their family pet, but there was something about Louie that they just couldn’t let go.

The Wittings were the ones who named the doggo “Louie” and gave him a home filled with love, affection, and all the care that he needs. As Mary said:

I thought, ‘That cute little face, he needs me. I can give him 24/7 love, and I need him’.

For true dog lovers, it’s unimaginable that someone could have the heart and guts to not only abandon, but physically hurt an animal so sweet and tiny on purpose.

Fortunately enough, there are people like Bob Hoelter, Dr. Lena Kovachich, and the Wittings who will always be there to help both physical and mental scars to heal.
