Officially, Bruce Willis and Demi Moore are grandparents.
The ex-couple’s oldest child Rumer Willis gave birth to a girl last week.
You are pure magic, we love you, the new parents captioned a photo of their infant, who they named Louetta Isley Thomas Willis. ”.
They wrote, “Born at home on Tuesday, April 18th. You are more than we could have ever imagined. ”.
Rumer and Derek first revealed their child-sharing arrangement in December.
Moore commended her for being so enthusiastic about her new job.
She wrote, “Entering my hot kooky unhinged grandma era,” as the caption on her reshare of her daughter’s announcement.
The family has struggled with Rumer’s pregnancy because Bruce, Rumer’s father, has been openly battling frontotemporal dementia. The heartbreaking diagnosis hasn’t stopped anyone, though, because they are all so excited to grow the family.
“[My parents] are extremely content. My sisters are overjoyed to be the first grandchild in our family, especially since we are already such a large group, she told People.
She continued by saying that the excitement had also enabled her to get through some of the more challenging situations she had recently encountered.
I’m just so excited, and that always sort of trumps everything, even those challenging or frustrating moments. But it’s crazy. It is the wildest feeling, even more than I had expected. ”.
Congratulations to Bruce and Demi on their new role as grandparents and best wishes to Rumer and Derek. I hope you all enjoy this special time in your lives.
Spread the word, if you would.
