What I’m thinking these days is that it’s not exactly easy being an animal rescuer.
It is often heartbreaking to see animal abuse in the dogs you rescue. Sometimes they suffer from minor injuries along with hunger and thirst, and sometimes they are in extreme pain and call for someone’s help.
In this story, we will talk about a dog whose face was chubby because the chain around his neck was too tight.
a heartbreaking scene
R.A.D. A rescuer was driving on a road in California when he spotted a dog nearby.
He stopped the car and went to take a look and for some reason noticed that his face was very chubby. Upon closer examination, the reason became clear. The volunteer wrote in a TikTok post: His head was badly swollen due to the chains around his neck. It is truly heartbreaking to see this level of animal abuse inflicted on poor dogs. Because the dog didn’t do the right thing.
When it became clear that he urgently needed help, volunteers loaded him into a car full of chickens.

The dog, now known as Chunk the Hunk, was safe with him and they were on their way to the nearest veterinary clinic in California for a full checkup.
He didn’t seem too worried and seemed to enjoy the walk despite being in a lot of pain. Fortunately, the vet said that his swollen head is treatable and that with proper treatment he will be on the mend soon.
It’s amazing to see how much the pieces have recovered in such a short period of time. After he recovered, his savior felt the need to help him learn to enjoy things, as he had spent most of his life in chains.
Chunk learned many new things and began to show more of his outer self. Now it’s time to help him find a new family.
The search was not easy, but R.A.D. Rescuers didn’t want to give up until they found someone. He was patient and let nothing dampen his spirit. Within months, Chunk found his forever home and is now living his best life thanks to his amazing rescue.
