The infant made her debut during the day on CBS Mornings.
When Robert De Niro’s girlfriend Tiffany Chen discussed her postpartum struggles on daytime television, Gia Virginia, the couple’s newborn, provided her with comfort.
The baby, who was born in April, was seen cooing with her mother while being held by CBS Mornings host Gayle King, who was wearing a frilly dress.
After giving birth to her daughter, the 45-year-old conducted her first interview with the seasoned actor.
She shared with Gayle that after giving birth, she was diagnosed with Bell’s palsy and lost all facial movement. She had a strong message for expectant mothers: “Women should not feel hurt by it. ”.
She described how it appeared as though everything was about to collapse in on itself. “It appeared as though my face was fusing together. Then, a week after giving birth, everything fell apart. ”.
One of the nerves that control your facial muscles can become damaged or stop functioning properly, resulting in Bell’s palsy, a neurological condition that paralyzes one side or area of your face.
Tiffany, a martial arts enthusiast and fitness instructor, openly discussed her wonderful relationship with Robert and how he helped her through her health issues.
She said, “He tried to say he didn’t see any difference, that he didn’t see any change.
‘No,’ he replied.
You appear to be in good health.
’”.
“And I said, ‘Really?’ My face has completely collapsed in on itself. He was strong and encouraging, though. ”.
She was readmitted to the hospital immediately after complaining of the severe pain she had experienced after giving birth via C-section and the sagging of her face. Her lower lip had drooped to the point where it was difficult for her to speak.
Tiffany recalled that it had finally gotten to the point where she had to support it herself. “And to speak, I’d have to hold my chin and manipulate my lower lip to produce particular sounds. “I couldn’t even pronounce Bob. ’”.
As she explained: “I couldn’t give her kisses. That made it harder because I wanted to give Gia all the attention.
I felt uncomfortable because of that.
”.
The only time vanity enters the picture is when a parent is worried that their child will receive cruel remarks because of their mother’s unusual appearance. It is the youngster’s response. ”.
She concluded by saying she was enjoying being a mother and that having a daughter had strengthened her relationship with the Oscar winner, who is also the father of Drena (51), Raphael (46), the twins Julian and Aaron (27), Elliot (24), and Helen (11).
