One day, Rosie, a golden retriever mix, was brought to Neuse River Golden Retriever Rescue.
She was abandoned and heavily pregnant. Shelter administrators Kathy and John Black immediately stepped in to provide care and support to the homeless dogs.

When the big moment arrived, everyone was in for a pleasant surprise!
Instead of looking like mum Rosie in gold, the four healthy cubs have a jazzy sense of style. Their fur was covered in multicolored spots, making them look like a herd of vibrant mini-cows!
We gave them names like Daisy, Clarabelle, Betsy and Moo to match their fun looks.
Rosie’s Dedication To Her Pups
Rosie, being the pawsitively awesome mom she was, couldn’t care less about her pups’ colorful fur.
She showered them with love, licks, and plenty of playtime!
Rosie taught her spotty darlings how to chase their tails and dig for hidden treasures, always making sure they were safe and snuggled.
