Elizabeth Montgomery was born in Los Angeles on April 15, 1933, to a Broadway actress and a movie star, so she was born an actor.

She wed the talented actor Gig Young in 1956, and the two were together until their divorce in 1963. Elizabeth got to know director and TV producer William Asher while they were filming Johnny Cool. He would not only help her career, but the two also clicked romantically.
Three kids were born to them and their marriage in 1963. While Elizabeth Montgomery did appear as a cast member on programs like Alfred Hitchcock Presents, The Loretta Young Show, The Untouchables, and The Twilight Zone, her role as the nose-twitching witch Samantha Stephens on Bewitched is probably the one for which she is best remembered. Elizabeth gained notoriety thanks to the supernatural comedy, which ran for eight seasons between 1964 and 1972. Everyone was imitating Samantha’s well-known nose twitch as she overnight became a household name.

Pilato, the author of two books on Elizabeth Montgomery, claimed that she was the first Queen of TV movies before Jane Seymour, Lindsay Wagner, and Valerie Bertinelli. “She went from queen of the witches to queen of the TV movie and it was no longer a struggle to break away from Bewitched,” he added.
After a protracted battle with colon cancer, her career was regrettably cut short on May 18, 1995. Although many sources listed her birth year as 1933, making her 62 at the time of her death, her family claimed she was 57 when she passed away, according to the Los Angeles Times. While filming Deadline for Murder: From the Files of Edna Buchanan, the actress who had battled the disease for years and thought she was cancer-free fell ill.
It was already too late when she finally had a chance to be examined in March 1995. Her liver had become infected with cancer. With her husband and three children by her side, Elizabeth passed away peacefully at her Beverly Hills residence. The Beverly Hills Canon Theatre hosted a memorial service one month after her passing. Herbie Hancock, a well-known jazz musician, performed while Dominick Dunne, a lifelong friend of Elizabeth’s author, talked about their early friendship when they both lived in New York City.
